Thirteen cars, one club anniversary

Porsche’s 2013 annual report describes a 13-car Club Coupe series built in 2012 to celebrate 60 years of Porsche Clubs. Twelve purchase rights went to club members through a draw, while one car went to the museum. This was an anniversary project with a defined group of recipients, not simply a paint option.

The report records a dark green exterior and espresso-brown leather. It also describes personalized engraving and a photographic record of each car’s manufacture. The shared specification supplied the family resemblance; the finishing details connected each example to its owner.

What the photograph reveals

In this later photograph, the dark body color lets the reflections describe the front fenders. The wheel accents repeat a quieter version of the exterior theme. It is a useful counterpoint to specifications built around bright stripes or a strong secondary paint color: the car asks you to look at surfaces and small details.

The cabin is difficult to judge through reflective glass, so the interior description here comes from the manufacturer’s report rather than a color guess from the image.

A naming distinction worth keeping

The 2012 991 Club Coupe is separate from the 996-based Classic Club Coupe unveiled in 2022. Similar names do not make them the same project. For this article, we retain the annual report’s broad exterior description instead of adding an unverified paint code or translated color name.
