Dani Blue Porsche 911 S/T: A Personal Take on Historic Blue

A personal paint name can tell you more than a specification sheet. Porsche’s August 2024 account of Jorge Carnicero’s 911 S/T explains that Dani Blue takes its name from designer Daniela Milošević, who helped develop the car’s color concept.

A historic starting point, a new result

Enamel Blue on a 1964 Porsche 901 provided a starting point. The resulting Dani Blue was developed as a more intense, darker interpretation through Paint to Sample Plus. That makes it a newly developed finish with a historical reference, rather than simply an old color selected from a list.

The complete specification

Graphite Blue leather, a three-color Pepita fabric and Brilliant Silver exterior accents extend the idea beyond the bodywork. Our favorite aspect is the restraint: the main paint gets attention while the supporting materials keep the specification coherent.

What to document

The appeal of Dani Blue is its specific origin: an established blue was a starting point for a new finish, and the name records the designer’s part in the result.

Color and material names

Dani Blue appears as Daniblau in Porsche’s German account. Enamel Blue is Emailblau; it is the inspiration for Dani Blue, not another name for the finished bespoke color. Compare Porsche’s German source.
