Otto Yellow: Luca Trazzi’s 993 Speedster Dream

Unveiled in 2024, Luca Trazzi’s 993-generation Speedster began with a 1994 911 Carrera Cabriolet. Porsche’s Sonderwunsch team worked with the designer for more than three years to turn his idea into a finished one-off.

A yellow with a personal name

The exterior color is Otto Yellow, named after Trazzi’s dog. The cabin continues the theme with yellow-and-black checks and black leather. The appeal is not just that the car is yellow; it is how consistently the same idea carries through the body and upholstery.

Why the starting car matters

“993 Speedster” is an easy phrase to skim past. In this case, it describes an extensively developed individual project based on an existing Cabriolet, not an ordinary catalog model with a color option added.

How we would file this specification

The finished car brings together two kinds of personalization: a body style developed around Trazzi’s idea and a paint name with a private meaning. Neither detail makes much sense without the other part of the story.
