Vehicle Overview

The title of "last great analog supercar" is hotly contested, but the Porsche Carrera GT sits at the top of the list for countless enthusiasts. Advanced in its design and in its use of cutting-edge materials, the Carrera GT nevertheless offers a purist driving experience unlike anything built by major automakers today.

At its heart is a naturally aspirated V-10 engine paired with a specially developed six-speed manual transmission, the sole gearbox offered. A lack of intrusive electronic driving aids made the Carrera GT a raw and challenging, but immensely rewarding car to master.

Furthermore, the Formula One-derived V-10 engine now had a home. Sized at 5.7 liters in production form, this marvelous 40-valve powerplant developed an astonishing 605 horsepower at 8,200 rpm and 435 pounds-feet of torque at 5,750 rpm. Power was delivered through a six-speed manual transaxle. To keep the car's center of gravity as low as possible, the engine employed dry-sump lubrication.

The bodywork incorporated large air intake and exhaust vents, as well as a pair of removable CFP roof panels that could be stored onboard, a rear air diffuser, and a stability-enhancing rear wing that rose automatically at 75 mph. The leather interior was luxurious, with every amenity, and included a rather small digital information screen. The Carrera GT was fitted with numerous safety systems, including traction control and anti-lock braking, all vital to a machine capable of 0-60 times of three seconds and a maximum top speed of 205 mph!

This Carrera GT, serial number 0296, is one of just 644 US-market examples produced between 2004 and 2006. Finished in the stunning shade of Speedster Blue over a Dark Grey leather interior, additional factory specifications included XT bucket seats, Porsche Online Pro CD radio, air conditioning, and the full 5-piece set of interior-matching Dark Grey luggage.

Since 2004, this Carrera GT has covered an astonishing 2,260 original miles. In February 2022, the car was sent to Porsche North Houston, where it underwent a completely refinished paint job in iconic "Speedster Blue". The color is supposed to replicate a Porsche 356 "Pre-A" Speedster. Numerous records shown in the pictures state the restoration took place and cost a total of over $75k. During the restoration, the previous owner took the liberty of doing a full engine out service and changed all fluids, clutch, and new tires which only have a couple hundred miles on them.

This particular car was originally delivered to New Country Porsche in Greenwich, Connecticut to the original owner. The car was maintained in Connecticut up until 2009, when the car was sold to a new owner in New York. The car was serviced at Porsche of Gold Coast while maintained in New York.  In late 2020, the car spent a short time in South Florida before being sent to Texas to the most recent owner who had the car refinished at the Porsche Dealership. The car now resides in immaculate condition with all books and manuals!
